Membership

The membership division of My Big Buddy runs off a unique model that enables families to utilise part time Buddies whilst not having to employ them, pay their tax, National Insurance or holiday and sick pay. The membership also entitles families to unlimited replacements or ad hoc Buddies as required, even on a last minute basis! No membership fees are charged until you have met some candidates and decided on a primary Big Buddy. Your primary Buddy will take on any set hours you have in mind and you can offer him casual bits and pieces as and when they arise. If he is unavailable, simply contact the agency for a replacement Buddy. We are happy to supply you with a pool of Buddies if you’d prefer so you can contact the Buddies directly when needs arise or you can book through the agency. Non members have the option to book through the agency and pay the relevant casual booking fees.

3 different Tiers of annual membership are offered so there is a suitable option for your predicted needs. Should your needs increase, we are happy to boost your membership tier to the required level and charge a pro rata fee for the remaining months in your current membership term.

Advantages of Membership:

No extra fees for replacements, temps or extra Buddies, including babysitting

Replacements, including last minute if your Primary Buddy is unavailable either short or long term

No risk of losing fees if your Buddy leaves or isn’t appropriate

No need to employ the Buddies. Therefore no tax, NI, holiday or sick pay

You can split your job between as many Buddies as you like. ie one to help with homework and keep the show on the road M-F and someone super fun and sporty to ‘run’ the kids on the weekends. OR Are your children interested in different things? For example sport or music? Why not book one musical Buddy and one sporty Buddy and let each child have a day out to give you the opportunity for that all important one on one mummy time!

Have any extra jobs around the house that need doing? Ironing, clearing out garage, hanging pictures, mowing the lawn, collecting dry cleaning etc? Why not increase your booking with your primary Buddy by a few extra hours one day a week and get these jobs ticked off. Just write out the list and the Buddies will take it from there.
